Cool or rather freezing on the Cuillin!

With high pressure in the NW we've had a great few days on the Cuillin Ridge with Fi, Jenny, Len and Scott climbing the munro summits of Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, Sgurr Alasdair, Sgurr Dubh Mor and Sgurr nan Eag to name but a few.

A bit grey on Saturday and the weather started to breakdown on Monday but Sunday was stunning.
We awoke to a hard frost (minus 3 at Sligachan) on Sunday and despite the blue skies and sunshine it was bitterly cold with some of the shaded higher tops still icy and frosted that afternoon.

The overnight subzero temps kept the midges away too...!

A few Cuillin Ridge photos and videos later....

A great alpine summer and finally back home!

It's been a great summer rock climbing in the Alps with just three days of rain in a two month period.
To be honest with three months of climbing almost every day and over 10 Gb of pictures and video, remembering the routes never mind selecting best photos is a difficult task - so I'll leave it all up to Fi!
A select few details and photos of some of our alpine adventures can be found on Fi's blog here
We arrived back last week keen to get lots more climbing done and use our alpine fitness to tick some of the big remote mountain routes in Scotland.
Unfortunately the UK weather has had other ideas as it's pissed down practically ever day limiting us to Fingers Ridge which incidentally is badly eroded and very loose at the start :-(
Now my broadband and phone are working and the admin backlog sorted we're off to Skye this weekend and next week. Were also rock climbing Spain in November and ice climbing in La Grave in January 2011.
We already have lots of early booking for our winter mountaineering skills courses and guiding and if last winter is anything to go by it should be epic....
While we still have availability please feel free to join our Highland winter adventures and book your 2011 winter skills course!
