Looking wintry again and cold for the next week or so






Turning colder again with some fresh snow on the hills today and tomorrow's forecast looks fine for hillwalking :-)
The ground is still soft and wet but should start to freeze up well over the coming week, if the MWIS weather outlook is to be believed!

"Colder next week with north or northeasterly winds and freezing level 800 to 1000m. Snow showers will affect many northern and eastern mountains, and particularly early in the week, areas of low cloud and rain will affect mountains in England and Wales. There remains significant evidence of early December being very cold: most terrain becoming frozen, and snowfall, in some areas significant (most likely northern and eastern mountains...."
