Winter weather is forecast to return soon!
Looking at all the forecasts and seeing how wet the roads were this morning, I was expecting to get absolutely soaked and blasted by the winds.
Strangely Richard and I managed to remain more or less dry all day as we looked at various Winter Skills while sheltered from the wind.
We had one very short snow shower but that was it, despite heavy rain falling in Aviemore! The snow was a softer than of late and it remained as granular spring snow to over 900 metres.
This was great ice axe braking though a bit on the softish side for step cutting and crampon techniques.
Blizzards and snow is being forecast for tomorrow with it lying down to 300-400 metres in some places in the east.
