Arkle & Cape Wrath 25-26 Sept 2015

A few days guiding for John White (http://www.cloud9walkingholidays.com/) based in Balanakiel House, Durness in the far north west.
On the first day we climbed Arkle and got totally soaked crossing bog and rivers in driving sleet! Despite the soaking and sodden boots the guys were fit and strong (Over fifties British Lyons and Olympic Vets!) and took it in their stride. That evening I visited Smoo Cave which had a stunning waterfall pouring from the roof!
On the second day after a great banquet in our Highland Lodge we took the ferry over to Cape Wrath and completed the long wild, untracked coastal walk, down to the stunning Sandwood Bay and then Sheigra.
Despite teasing the guys they'd miss the rugby it was much to their relief we got back in plenty of time for them to get to the pub and watch the rugby match at 20.00 hrs. England v Wales!
A great few days with a great bunch of people :-)
Lots of photos from the trip can be found on our Facebook album here.
