The final day of the five day Winter Mountaineering course with Felicity and Sarah using all the skills learned during the course.
We picked a venue to minimise the avalanche risk due to the graupel layer that we'd spotted the previous day when digging our snow-holes on a north aspect.
We looked at kit organisation and winter navigation in adverse weather conditions and how to avoid, windslab and the overhung cornices when climbing as well as looking at linked belays.
Other than the later afternoon squally blizzard conditions as we finished off our climb, conditions were near perfect but atmospheric when needed!
