Plenty of snow but take care!

A bit of a thaw today at lower levels and with the temperature tomorrow to rise to summit level before dropping on Sunday. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't significant snow instability in some higher areas despite the medium SAIS avalanche forecast. We've already seen some avalanche activity on eastern aspects this week and since then the cornices have grown significantly with the heavy drifting. Personally I'm not climbing this weekend until the freezing levels drops over Sunday as I think it will be really stupid. Climbing prospects look good for Monday and into the next week or two as the snow pack will have thawed and refrozen over the weekend...
