Due to the diminishing snow cover and loose rock, it's been getting more unpleasant and dangerous in the busier venues. Soft snow, loose rock and lots of climbers are a very bad mix!
Today Kev took time out while Thomas, David and myself decided to go on a search for a quiet sheltered Grade one snow gully. This allowed them to safely lead the route under my supervision without worrying about what other people were doing around and above us!
We succeeded in our mission and as a bonus had the place all to ourselves completely sheltered from any wind.
