John and I were out on his last day of private instruction. John was interested in looking at winter ropework and some coaching in winter climbing.
In contrast to the last few Alpine days it was more Scottish as we headed into the misty Coire an t-Sneachda against a much stronger than expected bitter headwind.
With the low cloud and limited visibility it was hard to see the buttresses never mind the routes but then I was there yesterday!
Once on my chosen route, a direct right Goat Track variation with a left finish at the top of Western Rib, the snow and ice conditions were simply excellent, despite the very cold wind!
