With the snow refreezing last night climbing condition were excellent for my day's guided climbing with Neil. The weather forecast was good so Fi joined us as a shadow and to get some climbing done!
It was a very sociable walk in all the way to the foot of our route where we met Steven, Stewart and Andy about to head up the refrozen Goat Track trail.
We then we noticed Di and Catrin who were about to put on there crampons to head over the back of Cairngorm when!
We offered our sympathies and then made our way up the lovely icy grooves, on three scenic variation pitches of Spiral Gully - trying not to enjoy ourselves too much within earshot ;-)
In contrast to the weekends spring snow the snow had set solid, giving perfect axe and crampon placements, from the coire floor all the way to the cornice and plateau.
