A wild stormy start to the course yesterday (top pic) in contrast to today!
Light winds and good visibility for a change, revealed the great and deep snow cover throughout the Northern Corries.
The main gullies in particular are really well filled in for climbing and there's good riming on the crags. It's firm snow where wind scoured but with deep drifts and cornices in sheltered areas.
Being the first weekend after New Year there were lots of folk up in Aviemore and today out skiing and climbing.
