A much better and clearer morning!
A wee talk about weather, avalanches, navigation and snow-shelters before heading out.
It was bit drier and less windy this morning as we headed up the Ciste ridge and managed to get good crampon practise on the wind scoured ridge and traverse.
We then looked at constructing cosy emergency snow shelters for lunch.
After lunch the wind speed increased substantially making leaving the snow-holes even more difficult!
We then fought our way over the top and headed down the steep gully banks to practise more cramponing and realistic ice axe arrests with our rucksacks on.
Less wet snow plastered gear, to dry this evening!
