Damp but fun winter climbing up high!
I was out with Scott for a day's private guided winter climbing in the Cairngorms.
A pea souper with summit level thaw but we had good fun climbing on several new lines nevertheless...!
We hiked up Cairngorm then abseiled off into the white corniced abyss for a fun day, exploring new lines and variations.
We had the place to ourselves until a group spotted our tracks, ski poles and abseil sling and asked to join us below - they had fun too!
I expected that finding the crags and the top of the right routes would be tricky but I even had to get my compass out, 800 metres from the Ciste carpark, on our way back!
