Cairngorms 20th January 2017, great weather and where there is substantial snow on eastern aspects, really good fun Grade 1 and 2 climbing conditions.
However take care, crampons are essential and watch out for bullet hard ice on the bare ground!
Some of the steep bare ground is pretty lethal as it has frozen hard and very icy in places with very serious rocky runouts ;-(
