Scottish Hot Hot Rock!
Quite a contrast from the last week with the snow disappearing fast off the Cairngorm's. With temperatures of 28 Celsius in Aviemore, it was the last day of skiing on Cairngorm Mountain.
Still large areas of snow on the hill and although the crags are looking black there's still snow on the approaches and the corniced tops.
I was out with Emma and Matthew who were looking for a few pointers and some coaching to improve and consolidate their rock climbing.
Climbing conditions were ideal with great views of the Moray Firth and lovely warm dry rock.
With the good conditions and extra encouragement, Emma lead her first VS 5a route which is three technical grades harder than her previous best - so well done!
Tomorrow we plan to head into the mountains for a multi-pitch adventure and some cooler air!
