A fantastic day and Adam's first Grade 2 winter climbing route on his Scottish winter mountaineering course was a stunner with near perfect snow and ice conditions.
A bit windier and warmer than the forecast suggested though climbing condition in the gullies and snowy routes above 900 metres were excellent with sticky hero ice and Styrofoam neve - the buttresses were black though!
Lots of photos of the buttresses and the superb Trident gullies in Coire an t-Sneachda from today on our winter mountaineering album at https://www.facebook.com/pg/CairngormMountainGuides/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1214396965327515 along with a video below!
