Day two of our winter skills and winter mountaineering course with Lucy and Adam. The weather this morning much better than expected with firm snow, good sunny spells and lighter winds before the poor wet weather moved in just after midday.
We headed up and over Cairngorm to to look at micro navigation, weather and avalanche awareness, emergency snow-shelter (snowholes) construction and basic rope-work for negotiating a cornice.
